This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw featured a huge main event as Seth Rollins went one on one with Sami Zayn. The match came to an end when Rollins rolled Sami up for the three count. Shortly after the match concluded Drew McIntyre made his big return then laid Sami Zayn out with a Claymore.
PWInsider is reporting that Drew McIntyre’s return to WWE wasn’t expected to happen so soon. The belief among people backstage at Raw was that Drew returned a few weeks earlier than originally planned due to the injury Bronson Reed suffered at Survivor Series.
WWE has been advertising Drew McIntyre for upcoming holiday week live events, so he would have been back by then and possibly returned during the Raw premiere on Netflix. However, he is now back on WWE programming and is expected to be part of the storylines moving forward.
