Lio Rush has made a big impact on the WWE main roster, but as a manager, not as a wrestler.
Rush has been getting some major heat working alongside Bobby Lashley, and he’s shown that he’s a natural heel.
It’s hard to miss Lio Rush when you watch 205 Live, but WWE had other plans for the former NXT star before he was paired with Bobby Lashley.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, original plans called for Lio Rush to be the lead heel on 205 Live, and he would hide behind Babatunde Aiyegbusi.
Rush and Babatunde Aiyegbusi practiced the act in NXT, but WWE didn’t pull the trigger on using them as a duo on the main roster.
Do you think WWE should have stuck to the original plan, or are you enjoying seeing Lio Rush on Raw? Sound off in the comments below.
