When Jinder Mahal returned to WWE a few years ago, nobody expected WWE to push him, but since making his return Jinder has done big things.
Mahal went from being a wrestler who constantly worked at the bottom of the card, to the WWE Champion in the span of a few short months.
But originally WWE had very different plans for him.
According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, one idea that was pitched for Jinder’s return was to make him a self-appointed authority figure known as “The Mahal Monitor.”
It sounds like the character would have been similar to what we’ve been seeing recently with Constable Corbin, but ultimately WWE officials decided to go in a different direction.
Are you glad this idea never came to fruition, or do you think WWE should have given it a try? Sound off in the comments below.
