Darby Allin has been prominently featured on AEW programming since the company first launched in 2019, but it’s been a while since fans have seen the former TNT Champion on television as he’s currently climbing Mt. Everest.
Fightful Select reports that when they asked about Darby Allin’s status back in January the word was that Allin wasn’t expected to return to television until spring.
After asking again recently about Darby Allin’s absence it’s being reported that the hope was Allin would be back by the Owen Hart tournament and be featured on the card for the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. However, there has been no update since then.
Darby Allin has not stepped into the ring since December of 2024 when he faced off against Ricochet in Continental Classic match which ended with a time limit draw. Allin had long been planning to climb Mt. Everest and the climb typically takes six to ten weeks.
Stay tuned for more updates on Darby Allin’s status as they become available.
