AJ Styles made his big WWE debut recently when he was revealed as the third entrant in the Royal Rumble match. AJ lasted 28 minutes in the match before he was eliminated.
Original plans for the match called for AJ Styles to be eliminated by Dean Ambrose, but plans were obviously changed as Kevin Owens eliminated AJ from the match.
NXT General Manager William Regal recently announced that Shinsuke Nakamura will make his debut at NXT TakeOver: Dallas on April 1st. But according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE does have plans for Nakamura to work on the main roster at some point. He’s being sent to NXT first in order to help him make an easier transition.
It was rumored that WWE purchased the rights to use Nakamura’s theme “Subconscious” but that rumor is untrue. It’s also worth noting that just because he’s using the Shinsuke Nakamura name in NXt that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll be using it in NXT.
