Shawn Michaels may be retired at the moment, but fans all around the world know him as Mr. WrestleMania. HBK made a name for himself on the Grandest Stage of Them All, and he’s put on some legendary matches at Mania.
The former WWE Champion has had epic matches with the likes of Ric Flair, The Undertaker, Bret Hart and many more. At WrestleMania 22 he faced off against Vince McMahon, but originally WWE officials pitched a different match for Michaels.
During a recent episode of Something to Wrestle With, Bruce Prichard said that a Shawn Michaels vs. Eddie Guerrero dream match was discussed for WrestleMania 22.
“It was kicked around as a possibility because they never worked together, and that was, at least in my head, a dream match. That was one of those that I definitely would love to have seen.”
Unfortunately Eddie passed away before the event, so the match never happened. But one has to imagine that it would have been an instant classic.
