Originally WWE announced that there would be 7 participants in this year’s Money in the Bank ladder match, but only 6 men wrestled in the match on Sunday.
However, WWE revealed their original plans for the match when a graphic showing the original 7th participant flashed on the screen during the latest episode of “This Week in WWE.” The graphic revealed that Kalisto was originally planned to be the 7th man in the match.
Kalisto instead teamed up with Sin Cara to defeat The Dudley Boyz in a tag team match which took place on the kickoff show. Dean Ambrose won the Money in the Bank ladder match and later cashed in after Seth Rollins defeated Roman Reigns. Ambrose defeated Rollins to become the new champion.
