Back in 2020 The Hurt Business became one of the most popular groups in WWE and it was clear that MVP, Bobby Lashley, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin worked quite well together. Those four names seemed to be a great fit for the group, but it seems that two other wrestlers were originally considered for The Hurt Business.
During a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, MVP talked about putting The Hurt Business together and he explained that Ricochet and Apollo Crews were both considered for the group.
“At that point, we felt that, you know, Apollo (Crews) is being established on his own and we came down to Ricochet and Cedric (Alexander for a spot in The Hurt Business) and we felt that Ricochet stood a better chance of being successful on his own, whereas Cedric would do better from his association with us and so far, I think I was pretty accurate in that assessment.”
In recent months MVP has teased that he’s looking to get The Hurt Business back together, but it’s been reported that WWE currently has no plans to reunite the group. Stay tuned for updates.
