On Sunday night the Men’s Money In The Bank ladder match main evented the annual Money In The Bank pay-per-view, and Brock Lesnar made his surprise return.
Brock Lesnar was not previously advertised for the show, and throughout the day he was hidden from everyone. There were a few people who were aware he would be part of the show, but most didn’t know he was there.
Backstage people who needed to know were told that Ali would be winning the match.
Before the match kicked off the wrestlers were all told that Ali would not be winning, but that Ali would get knocked off the top of the ladder by an eighth wrestler who would be entering the match later.
They were not told who the wrestler would be, but the idea was for them to believe it was Braun Strowman.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, right before the match started Ali was told Brock Lesnar would be coming out.
