Fans know that when WrestleMania comes around they can expect to see Roman in a big match, and last year he was supposed to challenge Goldberg for the Universal Championship, but he had to pull out of WrestleMania 36 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Things are a little different this year as Roman is currently a heel, and all signs point to him walking into WrestleMania with the Universal Championship.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that only one match is finalized for WrestleMania 37 at this point, and it’s Roman’s match.
The Tribal Chief’s opponent is unknown at this point, but it has been confirmed that Roman Reigns will not be facing Shinsuke Nakamura at the show of shows.
There’s also speculation that Randy Orton vs. Edge won’t be happening, as Orton will be facing The Fiend in a Firefly Fun House match at WrestleMania, which was originally planned for the Royal Rumble. If Orton does end up facing The Fiend at WrestleMania then that leaves Edge open to challenge Roman Reigns or Drew McIntyre for a title.
