Ever since he arrived in NXT, Oba Femi has been one of the stars to watch. Femi has come a long way over the last few years, and his recent match with Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event got a lot of people talking about a potential main roster call up for the NXT star.

During a recent appearance on Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, Oba Femi was asked if he ever thinks about facing big names like Brock Lesnar, and The Ruler made it clear that he believes he’s ready for the WWE main roster.

“Of course [I’ve thought of a match with Lesnar]. Definitely. Especially when I believe in myself, and I believe I’m good enough to be there. Like, right now, I’m good enough to be on the main roster. Period. Like, there’s no question about that. But I’ve been patient, you know, I’ve done what’s been put in front of me because sometimes when you think about what’s at the end of the tunnel, you somehow get lost in the sauce and you stop figuring out how to navigate your current situation. So I’ve tried my best to stay on course the best I can.”

Oba Femi also named Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes as dream opponents. Currently Femi is the NXT Champion and he’s set to defend his title against Leon Slater at New Year’s Evil on January 6.

Stay tuned for updates.
