The wrestling world has had to make some major adjustments due to the coronavirus, but the Wednesday Night Wars between NXT and AEW are raging on.
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite took place from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL with only a few wrestlers in the audience. This week’s episode of NXT featured interviews and video packages instead of a more traditional wrestling show with new matches.
AEW Dynamite managed to come out ahead once again as the show averaged 932,000 viewers this week according to ShowBuzzDaily, compared to the 766,000 viewers who tuned into last week’s show.
NXT took a big hit as the show only drew 542,000 viewers compared to the 697,000 viewers who tuned into last week’s show.
As noted the coronavirus has had a big impact on the industry, and it’s expected that future WWE programming will take place from the Performance Center for the time being, as WWE recently announced that WrestleMania 36 will be a two night event which emanates from Orlando this year.
