The idea of WWE holding a WarGames match was on the top of a great mountain full of other things that should have happened a long time ago like a women’s main event or a year without a McMahon on WWE television. But it looks like with a lot of genius persuading Triple H was able to make WarGames happen before Survivor Series last year and we all thank him for it.
If this is a sign that the fans’ voices are actually heard then I’ll take it. Because WarGames is coming back by very popular demand.
The Undisputed Era took on Authors Of Pain and Roderick Strong as well as SAnitY in an absolutely brutal encounter last year that left the Philadelphia fans enthralled. It was also a bloodbath as Alexander Wolfe’s back was split wide open thanks to a sick table spot.
Now it looks like the fans in Los Angeles will get a chance to enjoy this match for themselves as well because it looks official that the NXT TakeOver preceding Survivor Series this year will be NXT TakeOver: WarGames. It might be hard to top the outstanding display those nine guys went through to entertain us last November, but I’m sure there are plenty of stars chomping at the bit to prove they have what it takes to compete in this marquee structure.
Now let’s sit back and think about how incredibly amazing it will be if we get to see Ricochet compete in a WarGames match. Suddenly the world is a much better place, isn’t it?
Survivor Series is bound to be a stacked show with both main rosters as they compete for supremacy because that’s usually the general theme of the event. But they might be hardpressed to top the developmental brand yet again this year because the NXT roster is getting another shot at a WarGames match.
