Tye Dillinger is so over, it is remarkable really. Everybody in the crowd started chanting “10” as soon as he made his way out into the arean. Eric Young came down to a rather good ovation from the crowd accompanied by his Sanity brethren. There have been rumors scurrying around that this team would be a great match up against the Wyatt Family (provided that the Wyatt Family makes it much longer). Big Damo is a scary looking man and it is certainly an exciting prospect to consider him locking up with main roster competitors.
The match started by Young throwing his jacket at Dillinger’s feet. Tye slowly picked up the jacket and contemplated what to do with it for a moment before he threw it back in Young’s face and began his assault. Young rolled out of the ring and was quickly surrounded by his stable while Dillinger beckoned for him to return to the ring.
Once Eric Young returned to the ring he threw Tye outside, but the Perfect 10 rolled back in before Sanity could do any damage to him. Young was thrown out next and landed right on his back.
Tye mounted Young in the corner and began to pound Young’s head until a palm to the face stopped Dillinger’s aggression. Young was tossed to the outside, and Big Damo performed a devastating cross body on him. Damo can move incredibly well for a 344 pounder.
Young rolled Dillinger back in the ring and continued his assault on Tye Dillinger. Tye crawled to the turnbuckle and Young stayed on him like white on rice. Young continued with some slaps and put Tye on his back with a neck breaker for a two-count.
Young grabbed Tye by the hair and positioned himself on the top turnbuckle. Dillinger created an opening and went to the top and attempted a suplex but was blocked by a headbutt. Young jumped off the top for an aerial maneuver, but Dillinger countered with a dropkick. The two men stayed on the mat while the referee started his 10 count.
Both men made it to their feet at about the same time and started trading forearm shots until Young put Tye on his knee with a stiff shot. Dillinger grabbed Young’s beard from his knees and ended up executing a high back drop on Young.
Dillinger threw Young into the corner and the leader of Sanity went over the turnbuckle and ran to the top of the adjacent rope. Dillinger leaped up and grabbed Young as he executed a sick looking top rope belly to belly suplex. Sanity got involved in the match and Young took control of the match.
Dillinger then mounted a comeback and got a close two-count. Sanity dragged Young out of the ring and Dillinger executed a cross body on the entire faction. When the two made it back to the ring Young grabbed at Tye as he was distracted by the rest of Sanity, and pulled off his finishing neck breaker move and go the three-count.
Some might say that Tye Dillinger losing this match may very well be his swan song from NXT. We’ll have to tune in tomorrow night to see if he makes his Royal Rumble debut, preferably in the #10 slot.
