Buddy Murphy hasn’t been seen on NXT TV for a number of months, the former NXT Tag Team Champion split with Wesley Blake early last year and it seems that the company have had a problem deciding what to do with the group moving forward.
It was reported that Murphy was set to have an entire character change so the company took him off TV for a while, but the change doesn’t seem to have come into effect as of yet.
Wesley Blake recently appeared on NXT in a main event match against Drew McIntyre, but it seems that his former team mate hasn’t been given the same kind of treatment since he has been limited to live event appearances recently instead. Murphy teamed up with Kassius Ohno on Thursday night at an NXT live event in Cocoa, Florida against Hideo Itami and The Velveteen Dream.
Murphy seems to have landed awkwardly on his leg following a spot and that has left him in a position where he was forced to leave the ringside area with medics. It seems that the injury may not be as serious as first thought, but Buddy has only just come back into the mix in NXT and the last thing he would need right now is an injury keeping him on the sidelines any longer.
