There are many roads in WWE, but there is only one road that leads to WrestleMania, this road begins at next month’s Royal Rumble event, and it is a journey that many superstars are hoping to be a part of.
WWE has made it a tradition over the past few years to include many of their NXT developmental superstars in the annual match, as a way to easily set up a feud for them moving forward.
It seems that next year’s event will be no different and there are already rumours as to who they could be adding to the 30-man Rumble match.
Many of the WWE Universe expect Samoa Joe to make his main roster debut as part of the match since he failed to be a part of Survivor Series a few weeks ago. Now that he is no longer part of the NXT Championship picture, it seems that he would be free to make the switch to WWE TV.
Current speculation suggests that Samoa Joe is suffering from an injury, though, so it seems that his debut could be up in the air for the time being.
The name on everyone’s lips today is Mr Perfect 10 himself, Tye Dillinger, the NXT star has been overlooked so many times in his career and now it seems that following his loss to Bobby Roode at NXT Takeover: Toronto, and after his recent loss in the fatal four-way match that also included Roode, Andres Cien Almas and Roderick Strong it could be time for him to be called up.
There is nothing left for Dillinger on NXT right now, so a move to the main roster could be the perfect decision to finally help to kick start his career.
Current rumours suggest that Tye could be brought into the fray and even make his debut as the 10th entrant in the 30-man over-the-top-rope match as a way to help get a ’10’ chant going. Rumor has it that WWE officials are under the impression that they could easily allow ’10’ to become the new ‘Yes’ or even ‘What?’ in the near future.
Tye Dillinger was recently linked with a move to the main roster after what looked like a brutal back and forth with The Miz on Twitter. Miz and Dillinger seemingly collided when it came to Miz defending his Intercontinental Championship, and the SmackDown star then opened the challenge up to The Perfect Ten.
It is unknown yet as to whether or not The Miz will even be in the Rumble match, but it will be interesting to see if WWE decides to continue what began with The Miz and Tye Dillinger on social media.
The Miz would be the perfect star for Tye to begin his main roster career with, and it would allow him to fully use all of the skills he has been taught on NXT over the past few years.
There is no doubt that WWE fans want to see former NXT Champion Samoa Joe finally make his main roster debut, after rumors of his debut at Survivor Series proved to be untrue.
Samoa Joe’s injury is not thought to be serious and may not keep him out of the Royal Rumble in five weeks time if WWE decides to go that route, this means that the two superstars could both make their main roster debuts in the Rumble, so NXT will be well represented.
WWE are hoping to go all out this year with the Rumble because it is the 30th anniversary, that means that they are contacting many WWE legends from the Texas area and hoping that they can help to sell out The Alamodome in San Antonio.
If Tye Dillinger and Samoa Joe are called up it would show that WWE has confidence in these two stars, and it would be interesting to see how they might fit into WWE’s plans after the event, as WWE and all of their stars begin their preparations for WrestleMania.
