This week on Raw, it was announced that NXT stars Lars Sullivan, EC3, Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross and Heavy Machinery are all set to join the WWE main roster in the coming weeks.
It will certainly be interesting to see some fresh faces on the WWE main roster, but there are plenty of other stars in NXT who fans would like to see get called up as well.
One star who has become increasingly more popular in 2018 is none other than Velveteen Dream. He knows how to get people talking, and he recently tried to use that skill to his advantage.
Dream took to Twitter and told fans to spam the official WWE Twitter account using the hashtag #CallDREAMUp.
His tweets also featured some interesting comments such as, “It’s Not His (Vince’s) Call 2 Make It’s URs, So let ur voices B heard….#CallDREAMUp” and “Doesn’t matter, if UR entertaining ur entertaining. I don’t need writers and I don’t need a lot of time. A superstar should bleed through ur TV. And not when someone’s producing it.”
The tweets have since been deleted, and it doesn’t look like they helped Dream’s chances at being called up, because the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Dream got himself in some hot water thanks to social media stunt.
This isn’t the first time Dream has lobbied for a spot on the main roster as he wore tights that said “call me up Vince” during NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn this year, but in recent months he’s been receiving a healthy push in NXT, so hopefully his Twitter escapades won’t hurt him in the long run.
