This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw took place from the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, and it featured a huge NXT call up.
Finn Balor faced off against Curtis Axel in a handicap match, and unfortunately things didn’t go Finn Balor’s way.
Eventually Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas overpowered Finn Balor and attacked him at the same time, so the referee called for the bell and disqualified Axel and Dallas.
After the bell rang, Dallas and Axel continued to assault Finn Balor, but a familiar face from NXT came out to make the save when Hideo Itami ran down to the ring.
Itami recently confirmed that he would be joining the main roster this week, but it was believed that he would be appearing on 205 Live, so his arrival on Raw was a nice surprise.
Hideo Itami helped Finn Balor clean house and he got a nice pop from the crowd when he attacked Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas.
During the commercial break, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle booked a tag team match which saw Hideo Itami and Finn Balor face off against Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.
Itami got the win for his team when he hit Curtis Axel with the GTS.
Fans will be able to see more of Hideo Itami in action on the main roster Tuesday night when 205 Live airs on the WWE Network after SmackDown Live.
