NXT Star Gets New Name, Sasha Banks WrestleMania Note, SmackDown Viewership Up

NXT star Kenneth Crawford has been teaming up with Angelo Dawkins at recent live events and Crawford has adopted a new name. It looks like Kenneth Crawford will be known as Montez Ford from now on.

Sasha Banks lost the Raw Women’s Championship to Charlotte during WWE Roadblock: End of the Line on Sunday, and now it looks like WWE is moving forward with a Charlotte/Bayley feud which is expected to continue into WrestleMania 33.

Dave Meltzer noted on Twitter that Sasha Banks is still scheduled to be part of a big match at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.

This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live drew 2.637 million viewers according to ShowBuzzDaily.com. Viewership for this week’s episode was up compared to the 2.361 million viewers who watched last week’s show.

Next week’s episode of SmackDown Live will feature AJ Styles defending the WWE Championship in a triple threat match against Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler and Alexa Bliss is also scheduled to put her Women’s Championship on the line against Becky Lynch.

The Wyatt Family will defend their SmackDown Tag Team Titles agains The Usos, American Alpha and Heath Slater & Rhyno in a Four Corners Elimination match. John Cena is also scheduled to return during next week’s show.
