NXT Star Debuts On SmackDown With New Name

You never know when you might see a talent from NXT get called up to the main roster, and Ridge Holland has been aligned with Sheamus on SmackDown for some time now. This week Sheamus and Holland appeared in a backstage interview where they hyped up the arrival of a friend while holding sledgehammers.

Sheamus said that some people might know their friend by a different name, but to them he’s known as “Butch,” and then former NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne appeared dressed in an outfit similar to the attire Sheamus and Holland wear.

Ridge Holland and Sheamus then made their way to the ring for a match against Kofi Kingston and Big E, and as they were making their entrance it was announced that they were being accompanied by “Butch.” As the match got underway the commentators repeatedly referred to Pete Dunne as “Butch.”

Butch caused a distraction which helped Sheamus pick up the win for his team, and after the match Butch beat down Kofi Kingston. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
