Wrestling is dangerous there’s no doubt about that, but the wrestlers aren’t the only ones putting their bodies on the line when they step into a ring. NXT referee Tom Castor unfortunately suffered a broken leg during the main event at the live event in Omaha, NE on Thursday, but according to fans in attendance he still managed to count the pin.
@WWE @WWENXT @TripleH you guys need to give this ref a raise ! Broke his leg and still went on with the show and counted out Tyler Breeze #NXTOmaha pic.twitter.com/4ZXgZWWUGc

Velveteen Dream successfully defended his NXT North American Title against Tyler Breeze in the main event, and a video clip of the pinfall being counted can be seen below.

According to fellow referee Drake Wuertz, Tom was stretchered out and he squeezed his hand and said, “Drake I Love the Business”.
Please say a prayer for my brother @tomcastorWWE. He broke his leg in the line of duty tonight during the main event of #NXTOmaha. When he was on the stretcher he squeezed my hand and proudly said "Drake I Love the Business". We love you Tom! 🙏
