Monday Night Raw kicked off in a big way this week as COO Stephanie McMahon and General Manager Mick Foley announced a new title called the WWE Universal Championship. They also announced that there would be two Fatal 4 Way matches on Raw to determine the new number 1 contender and the winner of each match would face off later in the show.
The first match featured Cesaro, Rusev, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor. It was Finn Balor who won the first match and Roman Reigns defeated Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn and Sheamus in the second match.
Finn Balor and Roman Reigns are set to face off in the main event of Monday Night Raw and the winner will go on to face Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam.
