NJPW is on the rise and WWE surely has their eyes on some of the company’s top stars. But one star who won’t be leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling any time soon is Hiroshi Tanahashi. He recently took to Twitter to announce that he’s signed a new deal with the company, and his translated tweet reads as follows: “Contract renewal with New Japan Wrestling. I will do my best next fiscal year too! # njpw”.
Tanahashi didn’t mention how long his new deal is for.
The NJPW star is set to compete in a huge match at Wrestle Kingdom 13 on January 4, 2019, as he’s going to be challenging Kenny Omega for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at the event.
