New Japan Pro Wrestling is a well established brand in Japan, and over the last few years the brand has been getting major recognition in the United States as well. The Bullet Club’s rise in popularity has certainly helped NJPW gain the attention of US fans, and back in July NJPW held their first shows in the United States with the G1 Special, which featured a tournament to crown the first IWGP US Champion.

It was announced at NJPW Power Struggle that the promotion will be returning to the United States on March 25, 2018 for an event at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California. The Walter Pyramid is set up to hold about 5,000 people.

The G1 Special was well received by fans and people within the wrestling community.
