All Elite Wrestling was officially announced last week, and it’s already clear that the company intends to shake things up in the world of professional wrestling.
It’s been reported that AEW is aggressively trying to sign talent, but the promotion was unable to secure a partnership with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Dave Meltzer recently reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that NJPW officials have decided to continue working with ROH, so the company won’t be working with AEW for the time being.
It was also noted that as of a few days ago it was believed that Kenny Omega could continue work with New Japan and bounce back and forth between NJPW and AEW, but that’s not the case.
As noted, Kenny Omega recently announced that he’s leaving NJPW.
Omega reportedly has a WWE offer on the table, but AEW officials are said to be confident that he’ll sign with the new promotion.
