Throughout his time with WWE fans have seen Bray Wyatt form some interesting alliances. When he first debuted on the main roster he was the leader of The Wyatt Family, and it sounds like WWE has at least considered creating a new version of the group.
Fightful Select reports that prior their releases in 2020, Paul Heyman had pitched for Mike Bennett and Eric Young to get involved with Bray Wyatt. The pitch made it to Mike Bennett, but not Eric Young. The idea was reportedly pitched more than once with talk of Mike Bennett possibly taking on the role of Sister Abigail.
Those plans were ultimately canceled and it was noted that they didn’t really get very far, but there were more recent plans for a new Wyatt Family that were also in the works.
Eric Young signed a new contract with WWE back in November, but ultimately he didn’t return to TV. He requested to be released back in April and recently returned to Impact Wrestling.
It’s being reported that creative plans for Eric Young would have put him in a pretty significant spot in the company. The plan was for Eric Young to be part of a new Wyatt Family with Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas. The plans were set back in January and would have kicked off after WrestleMania, but Bray Wyatt was sidelined due to an illness so those plans never came to fruition.
There were also plans for Alexa Bliss to join the group before her maternity leave and those plans were nixed after it was revealed that she will be out through the end of the year.
