Over the last few years Joe Hendry has become one of the most talked about stars in wrestling. Thanks to WWE’s working relationship with TNA Wrestling, Hendry has been able to make appearances on NXT and he also entered the 30 man Royal Rumble match back in February. Hendry hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since the Royal Rumble premium live event, but ideas for a potential main roster appearance were reportedly pitched.
Fightful Select reports that earlier this year an idea was pitched that would have seen Joe Hendry appear on Monday Night Raw. According to the report Ariel Shnerner didn’t agree with the creative for the idea, and Hendry would have likely taken a loss.
One of the ideas involved Joe Hendry feuding with The Miz. None of the ideas happened which was a contributing factor to WWE souring on Ariel Shnerner. There was also said to have been a situation where WWE talent in NXT requested that Ariel Shnerner not be in their locker room. The request wasn’t personal, but the belief was that the locker room should be limited to talent.
It’s being said that WWE has sent Ethan Page to TNA Wrestling for a creative idea that is reportedly similar to what was planned.
