Over the weekend Total Nonstop Action’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view aired live, and two names became Hall of Famers. Bob Ryder and Rhino were inducted to the Hall of Fame this year, but it seems that company officials originally considered some other names that have history with the promotion.
Fightful Select reports that both AJ Styles and Monty Brown were considered for Hall of Fame inductions. However, WWE passed on the idea. It’s not known why WWE passed, but people in Total Nonstop Action believe that it’s due to The Phenomenal One’s injury, or ongoing storyline.
Even though neither Styles nor Monty Brown were inducted it’s being said that the door isn’t closed. There were hopes that AJ Styles would be open to return and wrestle for Total Nonstop Action, but it’s not clear at this point in time if that idea was ever discussed.
