Nikki Bella On If WWE Needs Women’s Tag Team Titles, Matt Sydal On Possibly Joining New Day

Nikki Bella hasn’t wrestled since she teamed up with John Cena to defeat The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33, but she’s been very active on social media, and she’s been trying to stay in touch with her fans.

Nikki recently uploaded a Q&A video to The Bella Twins YouTube channel, and she was asked if she thinks WWE should introduce tag team belts for the women’s division. The former WWE Divas Champion noted that she thinks tag team belts would be good for the division, and that they should be on Raw.

“Being in a former tag team, I definitely think there should be a tag team [title], plus you’ll get more women involved. I feel like we always get more women involved, and now I’m watching Raw and SmackDown, and I don’t see as many women on as I was seeing. I think if we have tag team titles then you have to use women even more, so I’m always game for that. I think it would be cool to have the tag team titles on Raw, because it’s a three hour show, and SmackDown being two hours, there has to be time for it. So, yes I would love it.”

Matt Sydal is a man who knows Kofi Kingston well. During his time with WWE he wrestled as Evan Bourne and he formed a tag team with Kofi called Airboom.

Sydal is currently working for Global Force Wrestling, but during a recent interview with Sportskeeda he talked about Kofi’s success with The New Day, and he noted that if the group ever adds another member he thinks he would be a good fit.

“Yeah of course, and I mean Xavier Woods and Big E are guys I know also. I mean honestly, if New Day were to ever get a new member, if they were ever to be the Bullet Club and just started adding guys, I think I would be top of the list because there’s nothing I like to do more than to go out to the wrestling ring, have some fun, share what I enjoy with the world and put smiles on faces. To work with Kofi again would be a treat because he has incredible in-ring work and what I said about being a babyface? That’s why Kofi Kingston is loved by so many fans because he is true to himself and genuine. That’s how he lives his life. I definitely want to be like that.”
