For years John Cena and Nikki Bella were a pro wrestling power couple, and they shocked the world when they called off their engagement.
Cena and Nikki’s relationship was put on display for all the world to see on shows like Total Divas and Total Bellas, and it was clear to fans that there were some issues that they didn’t see eye to eye on.
Nikki Bella was never shy about her desire to have kids, and John Cena was very upfront about not wanting to have any.
During an appearance on Better Together with Maria Menounos, Nikki Bella explained that the relationship ended because she felt like she was forcing John to have kids.
“Overall, we did have such an incredible relationship, it was just two people that wanted two different lives. We were trying so hard to make it one. And, it was like, even in the end when he was willing to give me kids, I could just tell, it’s not what we wanted. And that’s really, like, you know, what pushed me in the end, was like, if I’m going to force someone to be a father… what if he looks at you down the road and just regrets everything, and then you have this child and you’ve built this life. Is that what you want?”
Nikki Bella and John Cena got engaged during WrestleMania 33 back in 2017 and originally they were set to get married in May of 2018, but they called off the wedding one more before it was supposed to happen.
Both have since moved on. Nikki is engaged to Artem Chigvintsev and currently pregnant with his baby. Cena is currently dating Shay Shariatzadeh.
