This year’s Royal Rumble premium live event was huge as it featured some of the biggest names in the business. John Cena stepped up to compete in the men’s Royal Rumble match, and Nikki Bella also returned to the ring when she entered the women’s Royal Rumble at number 30. Nikki and John have a long history as they were previously engaged, and Nikki confirmed that she did cross paths with John Cena at the Royal Rumble.
Recently the former WWE Divas Champion spoke with Kristen Cavallari on her Let’s Be Honest live podcast tour via PEOPLE, and Nikki noted that it was the first time she had seen John in “seven [or] eight years.”
“It was very quick. I was in a circle talking to people. He came to [shake] everyone’s hand. He shook my hand. But the thing was, when he walked away, all the girls were like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ I’m like, ‘Shh, shh, He’s married, be respectful.’ And that was it. That was nice, and it was great because breaking the ice and you know, we just both happened to be back at the same time. It’s a good feeling.”
At this point in time it’s not clear if we could be seeing more of Nikki Bella on WWE programming in the future, but Chelsea Green did recently tease a potential match with Nikki.
As for John Cena, he will be appearing live at this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Brussels. It’s been confirmed that Cody Rhodes and John Cena will both be in the same building for the first time since Cena turned heel at the Royal Rumble, so it should be an interesting show.
