Nia Jax Wins WWE Women’s Championship At SummerSlam

Back in May, Nia Jax won the Queen of the Ring tournament to secure a title shot at the SummerSlam premium live event. Jax challenged Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship on Saturday night and it was Nia Jax who walked out with the gold.

Both Nia Jax pulled out all the stops and it looked like Bayley had the upper hand as she carried Nia Jax out of the corner and hit her with a powerbomb. As both Bayley and Jax were down on the mat Tiffany Stratton’s music hit and she ran down to the ring with the Money in the Bank contract. It looked like she was about to use her Money in the Bank contract but Bayley knocked Tiffany off the apron before she could cash in.

Bayley tried to pin Nia, but she kicked out. Nia hit two powerbombs on Bayley then dragged her to the corner. Jax hit the Annihilator twice to win the WWE Women’s Championship.

After the match Nia celebrated with the belt then Tiffany Stratton got in the ring and celebrated with the new champion.
