Nia Jax was absent from Raw this week. While she was away from the office on the night after she was counted out of the Women’s Survivor Series match, Paige made her return and she brought along some friends of her’s.
Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose joined the main roster with Paige as they started a new stable that some are comparing to The Shield. In all honesty, WWE thought about doing a female version of The Shield in NXT with Paige as the leader with Summer Rae and Aksana back in the day but it was nixed after one promo package.
But this new stable of females is a very real thing and Nia Jax happened to get the night off when they showed up. However, that won’t be the case next time and Nia Jax wanted to make sure Page and her new friends knew how much trouble they were going to be in next time.
Nia welcomed Paige back to WWE and at the same time said it was too bad she couldn’t welcome her and the new crew in person.
It certainly sounds like there are going to be some cool angles to come out of Raw with his new team of unpredictable females waging gang warfare. Paige has aligned herself with two women who were featured during her season of Tough Enough, but both Deville and Rose have had plenty of chances to brush up on their skills in the ring.
Although neither of them has really been featured on NXT television, they’ve been working house shows. Deville’s MMA style is pretty great as she mixes a shoot in a work atmosphere and it looks very real. On the same token, Mandy Rose is pretty amazing and not only is she a dead ringer for Trish Stratus, but she’s got the skills to pay the bills as well.
Things are going to heat up pretty quick by the look of things.
