The WWE Bad Blood premium live event kicked off in a big way as CM Punk picked up a decisive victory over Drew McIntyre. The action continued with the second match which saw Nia Jax defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Bayley.
Nia Jax dominated the match early on as Bayley struggled to gain momentum. At one point Jax tried to lock on the Camel Clutch, but Bayley fought out of it and used her speed to dodge Jax as she charged at her. Bayley hit a dive on Nia Jax outside, but it looked like Bayley got the worst of it when she slammed into Jax. Back in the ring Jax got the momentum back when she took Bayley down with a headbutt.
The champion got the challenger in the corner and went for the An-NIA-lator. Bayley stood up and tried to powerbomb Jax out of the corner. However, Nia Jax reversed it into a hurricanrana.
Bayley hit a sunset flip bomb into the corner, but Jax fell on Bayley as she hit the move. Bayley connected with a big elbow from the top for a two count. They battled on the outside and Nia Jax powerbombed Bayley on the steel ring steps then threw her into the barricade. Back in the ring Bayley tried to make a comeback when she picked Nia Jax up for a Samoan Drop.
Nia tried to get up, but Bayley kicked her and she fell on the referee. While the ref was out Bayley hit a pop up Stunner followed by a Rose Plant. The fans counted to three then Tiffany Stratton’s music hit. She ran out with the briefcase and hit Bayley with it. Stratton tried to get the ref up, and she looked like she was trying to cash in, but Nia Jax sat up. Jax confronted Stratton in the corner as Bayley pushed her from behind then rolled Jax up for a two count.
Bayley went to the top and Stratton threw the briefcase to Bayley, but Bayley threw it right back. Nia Jax hit a Samoan Drop off the second rope then connected with the An-NIA-lator to retain.
