According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter TNA and Spike TV are expected to reach a new deal before the current one expires. Spike TV gets over 1 million viewers a week from Impact which is above what they do for the station average.
Spike TV wants to continue using TNA Impact as a lead in to Bellator MMA programming so TNA’s spot on the network is said to be safe at the moment. The only reason Spike TV would be hesitant to sign a new deal is because stories of TNA’s financial troubles seem to be making the rounds lately which has network executives concerned. The report also states that other wrestling companies have pitched their show to Spike TV none of which have been Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling. Jeff Jarrett’s exit deal from TNA included a clause that he could not pitch projects to Spike.
