Braun Strowman has taken the fight to Brock Lesnar like no one before him has been able to do. Strowman showed that he’s truly a credible threat to Brock Lesnar when he put him through two announce tables at SummerSlam, but Braun Strowman didn’t manage to pin Brock and win the belt.
The Monster Among Men will have another chance to challenge Brock for the Universal Championship when they go on one one at No Mercy, and Strowman sent a message to Brock Lesnar once again when he attacked him Raw this week.
It was noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that original plans for Braun Strowman vs. Brock Lesnar at No Mercy called for Lesnar to retain the championship. Paul Heyman stressed on Raw this week that Brock Lesnar is the underdog heading into the match.
Lesnar isn’t scheduled to appear on Raw next week, but he will have a presence on the show as he filmed footage that’s set to air on next week’s episode. Brock is also not scheduled for the Raw after No Mercy.
