NXT has become a big deal for WWE. It’s gone from being strictly a developmental brand to a legitimate third brand for the company. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, some NXT talents thought that they would be getting paid more for larger NXT shows but that is not the case. Although WWE is promoting NXT as a third brand to the general public, it will still be contracted as a developmental brand for the talents.
On a related note, it was reported that NXT Takeover sold out in six minutes online but most of the tickets had already been sold at the last set of NXT tapings.
