Yesterday one of the hot stories going around was that WWE would be banning Seth Rollins’ finisher, the Curb Stomp. F4Wonline is reporting that the curb stomp has not been banned but Rollins will be using the new DDT-facebuster type move he used on RAW to defeat Dolph Ziggler.
Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter described Rollins using a new move as a “semantic situation” and said WWE does not want to draw attention to the Curb Stomp no longer being used but it is not banned.
The Curb Stomp set him out from everyone else on the roster, made him unique. The move he is using now is bland and look so generic. I would understand why he saves the Phoenix Splash, but he should he gone to the Skywalker or even the the low aimed super kick he was using. Those still would have been his style and made him unique.
Arguably he is just using a reverse Dirty Deeds. This is just another instance where WWE is dropping the ball.
Maybe it’ll be an instance like the punt kick
