It’s been reported quite a few times over the past week or so that TNA talent is frustrated over the fact that the company hasn’t told them much of anything regarding the rumors that Destination America will be dropping TNA programming in the fall.
According to both PWTorch.com and F4WOnline.com, when asked about the rumors Dixie said that TNA has a good relationship with Destination America. Due to legal reasons she wouldn’t go into detail about the rumors that TNA is getting dropped by the network but she did reportedly mention that out clauses in television contracts are quite common. The call apparently started with 10 minutes of Dixie taking then 30 minutes of the roster talking and it’s said that the talent came off as quite frustrated.
It’s not hard to see why the TNA roster would be frustrated. They want answers and from what’s being reported, they’re not getting them.
MVP openly voiced his frustration with the company earlier today after it was announced that ROH had signed a TV deal with Destination America. He mentioned on Twitter that TNA didn’t notify any of the talent that ROH would be airing before Impact and then posted his booking contact info on his page. Although it’s not known if TNA had any prior knowledge about ROH coming to Destination America, if the two parties have as good of a relationship as Dixie says they do its not hard to imagine that the network would have tipped her off.
In any case what could be seen as a negative by some could also be seen as a positive by others. ROH and TNA airing back to back on Wednesday nights could motivate some ROH fans to tune into TNA and vice versa. Guess we will have to wait and see.
