Randy Orton defeated Bobby Roode to win the United States Championship for the first time in his career at the Fastlane pay-per-view a few weeks ago, and Roode announced that he would be cashing in his rematch clause at WrestleMania a few days later on SmackDown Live.
Jinder Mahal was later added to the match to make it a triple threat, and after Rusev pinned Randy Orton in a tag team match, he was added to the title bout and it became a fatal 4 way.
At one point Randy Orton dominated the match buy hitting everyone in sight with a RKO, but Bobby Roode took him out with the Glorious DDT.
Rusev then went to lock in the Accolade on Jinder Mahal at the end of the match, but he was distracted when Sunil Singh got up on the apron.
Jinder Mahal capitalized on the distraction and hit Rusev with the Khallas then pinned him to win the US Title for the first time in his career.
