Last week WWE removed Kevin Patrick from the SmackDown commentary team and it was later reported that the company made the decision to release him.
Michael Cole called the action with Corey Graves last week on Friday Night SmackDown, but it seems that Cole’s appearance on the blue brand was just a one time thing because he was in town for the Royal Rumble.
This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw kicked off with the return of Pat McAfee and Michael Cole confirmed that he and McAfee will be the commentary team for the red brand moving forward.
PWInsider is now reporting that Corey Graves and Wade Barrett will be the new commentary team for SmackDown. The idea is for Corey Graves to work in the lead announcer role while Wade Barrett does color commentary.
