It’s been a big year for WWE contract signings and recently there’s been a lot of talk about the company possibly signing the Motor City Machine Guns. Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley became free agents months ago and they’ve been rumored to be WWE bound ever since.
PWInsider is now reporting that it’s been confirmed the Motor City Machine Guns have signed with WWE. It was noted that current plans call for Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin to debut on NXT’s premiere on the CW on October 1st, if not before.
Recently Cory Hays of PW Nexus reported that the idea is for the Motor City Machine Guns to be the face of the tag team division in NXT. It was also noted that both Sabin and Shelley had talks with AEW, and it seemed likely that they could sign with the company, but those talks fell through.
