Rusev challenged Kalisto for the United States Championship at Extreme Rules on Sunday and in the end it was Rusev who walked away with the gold.
The end came when Kalisto went to the top rope but Rusev countered by throwing him off and he fell to the edge of the ring apron on the outside of the ropes. Kalisto stopped moving his legs and a trainer came up to check on him. Rusev then pulled Kalisto back into the ring and stomped on his back. He then put him in the Accolade and almost snapped him in half. Kalisto tapped in no time at all.
Rusev won the United States Championship for a second time at Extreme Rules and after the match he celebrated by holding the title in the air as he walked around the ringside area.
