For weeks now the wrestling world has been talking about the possibility of Edge joining All Elite Wrestling and the Rated R Superstar made his debut with the company at the WrestleDream pay-per-view on Sunday.
While Edge is still using the same entrance music he can’t use the name Edge in AEW, so he’s currently billed as Adam Copeland. However, it looks like Adam Copeland could be adding some nicknames to the mix as trademarks were recently filed for LEDGEND, COPE, THE ROGUE and ICONOCLAST on Copeland’s behalf.
According to the USPTO website the trademarks were filed for the following purposes:
“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes”
Tony Khan has confirmed that Adam Copeland will appear on both Dynamite and Collision this week. Copeland will also be making his in-ring debut for AEW when he faces Luchasaurus on the 10/10 episode of Dynamite.
