All In was the biggest show in the history of AEW, and fans saw a major title change when The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn defeated House of Black to win the AEW World Trios Championship. This week the new champions appeared on Dynamite to celebrate with their belts, and a podium, a ribbon, and a table were set up in the ring when they made their way down.
Max Caster stepped up to the podium and said he wanted to kick off The Acclaimed’s title reign with a ribbon cutting ceremony, so he went to cut the ribbon with a pair of scissors. However, Billy Gunn stopped Max, told him his scissors were too small, then pulled out a gigantic pair of scissors and cut the ribbon to cheers from the crowd.
Anthony Bowens then said that it’s a new era for the trios division. He said The Acclaimed wears pink, which means the old AEW Trios Championship belts are dull. Bowens told Billy Gunn they have a surprise for him as Max Caster grabbed new belts from the table then unveiled AEW World Trios Championship belts with pink straps.
Bowens then explained that the edges of the straps were made special so the belts could scissor. It was also announced that The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn will defend the AEW World Trios Championship on Collision this week.
