Cesaro and Sheamus ended The New Day’s historic 483 day Tag Team Title reign on Sunday, and they were awarded with new title belts on Monday. In a backstage segment on Raw, General Manager Mick Foley introduced the new Raw Tag Team Titles, and they’re certainly an improvement over the previous titles which looked an awful lot like a pair of copper pennies. They look almost identical to the SmackDown Tag Team Titles, the only difference being that they have a red strap instead of blue. You can check out the video below.
The New Day made their way to the ring on Raw, and they talked about how Sheamus and Cesaro ended their reign. Sheamus and Cesaro interrupted, and they congratulated Cesaro, but not Sheamus.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson joined the party, followed by the Shining Stars who tried to hand out brochures in the ring. Eventually the confrontation got physical and all four teams started brawling with each other.
Cesaro and Sheamus then teamed up with The New Day to take on the team of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson and The Shining Stars.
Cesaro won the match for his team when he made Primo tap out to the Sharpshooter.
