New ROH World Champion Crowned During Ladder Match At G1 Supercard

New York City was alive and loud on Saturday night thanks to the wrestling community.

While some fans were watching the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Barclays Center, there were plenty of fans in attendance for the sold out G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden.

The ROH World Title was on the line in a triple threat ladder match which saw Jay Lethal, Marty Scurll and Matt Taven compete for the belt, and in the end it was Taven who walked away with the gold.

This is Taven’s first run with the title, and he is now the second man in history to become a ROH Grand Slam Champion.
