It’s been a big weekend for wrestling fans as the Money in the Bank premium live event took place from Toronto on Saturday night and the show featured some major moments. The action continued on Sunday night with NXT Heatwave, and Trick Williams defended his NXT Championship against Shawn Spears, Ethan Page and Je’Von Evans in a fatal four way match.
Near the end of the match Shawn Spears tried to suplex Je’Von Evans off the top rope, but Evans countered with a cutter from the top then ran to another turnbuckle and hit his finisher. Evans pinned Spears, but Trick Williams broke it up.
Trick threw Je’Von Evans onto the apron, so Evans jumped up onto the top rope and tried to springboard back in the ring. However, Trick blocked Je’Von Evans and shoved him off the top rope. Evans ended up crashing through the announce table.
After he t took Evans out of the match Trick looked conflicted. Trick regained his composure and went to attack Shawn Spears, but Spears locked in the Sharpshooter. Ethan Page hit Spears with a boot to break it up. Page hit the Ego’s Edge on Trick and pinned him then Evans broke it up when he grabbed Trick’s leg and placed it on the bottom rope.
Page went after Evans then went for the Ego’s Edge. Spears stopped it then Trick went for the Trick Shot on Ethan Page, but hit Evans instead and Evans bumped Spears off the apron then fell onto the mat. Trick then hit the Trick Shot on Ethan Page who fell onto Evans who was flat on the mat. Spears pulled Trick out of the ring as the referee counted three and Ethan Page was crowned NXT Champion.
Speechless.
