New Number One Contenders For WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles Confirmed

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw kicked off with the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky. It wasn’t long before their promo was interrupted as Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez interrupted the champions. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria came out next and each team made it clear that they wanted a shot at the belts.

Asuka and Kairi Sane made their way out as well and a brawl ensued. A match to determine the new number one contenders was made for later in the night with Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria and Asuka and Kairi Sane all facing off in a triple threat.

Near the end of the match Kairi Sane was battling with Roxxane Perez and Liv Morgan tagged in, but Kairi didn’t see it. Kairi threw Roxanne out of the ring and Liv came out of nowhere then hit her with Oblivion while she wasn’t looking. Morgan then pinned Kairi Sane to earn a title shot. After the match she celebrated with Roxanne.

Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez will now go on to challenge Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24th.
