New Mixed Match Challenge Team Announced For The Raw Brand

WWE Mixed Match Challenge is set to kick off on Facebook Watch on Tuesday, January 16 immediately after SmackDown Live, and the first teams for the tournament have been announced.

This week the first team for the Raw brand was revealed to be Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman, and the first team for SmackDown was revealed to be SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Bobby Roode.

Now it’s been confirmed that two former champions will be teaming up for the Mixed Match Challenge, as the first ever Universal Champion Finn Balor and former Raw Women’s Champion Sasha Banks will be working together.

Sasha Banks was interviewed backstage and she said that no matter who her partner is, they’re going to steal the spotlight and win the tournament together, then she entered Kurt Angle’s office.

Angle hyped up the tournament and said that Sasha Banks will be part of a dream team, and when he introduced her opponent, Sasha let out a disapproving groan as she was approached by Curt Hawkins. But it turned out alright, as Hawkins said he was simply in the office to try and get his parking validated, then Finn Balor appeared.

Sasha Banks was much happier to see Finn Balor, and she offered him her shades after saying that their team is “legit.”
